What Our Customers Say

Verified Google review

I don’t expect perfection; I value businesses that acknowledge errors and work to fix them. My experience with Barry Cullen Chevrolet started with a difficult request: a software upgrade for a 2016 Silverado to support Android Auto. My research showed it was possible, though many dealers are unaware of the process. The initial experience was frustrating. The associate who took my call was dismissive and refused to let me speak with a technician for confirmation. When I finally spoke to someone, the answers were vague. To make matters worse, when I arrived for my Thursday appointment, I found it hadn't even been booked. Despite this, the check-in staff squeezed me in, which I appreciated. However, a misunderstanding led to the truck being updated without the specific Android Auto feature I needed. When I picked up the truck and saw the feature was missing, I spoke with the manager, Andrew. He handled the situation exceptionally well: He apologized for the booking error and explained the challenges of phone inquiries, which I understood, though I felt my specific needs were initially ignored by the front desk. While he hadn't heard of this specific upgrade, he was open to the information I provided. He offered a refund, which I declined because the dealership had technically performed the "standard" upgrade I asked for, even if it wasn't the specific one I required. The next morning, I emailed Andrew a technical bulletin proving the upgrade was possible. He replied the same day, and a week later, he brought me back in to complete the service at no additional charge. Despite the initial hassle, I am giving a 5-star review because of how Andrew handled the situation. He didn't ignore the mistakes; he worked toward a solution. That is where you see the true value of quality service. While I still find Chevrolet’s corporate communication and software policies frustrating, Andrew’s leadership has earned my future business. Thanks, Andrew, for seeing this through to the end.
