Auto repairs and diagnostics in London—without the upsell

“Mechanics you can trust. You can trust MacKenzie auto to recommend the work that needs to be done. You can trust them to diagnose the problem. You can trust them do the needed work correctly. You can trust them not to sell you unnecessary work. I know this because I’ve been going there for years. They have worked on many of my cars. They have diagnosed warranty problems that the dealership didn’t. They maintained my 1967 Fury for 5 years and it never once left me on the side of the road. They have diagnosed complicated problems with my VW Jetta. I’m a firm believer in only one shop working on my vehicle. I want a mechanic doing the oil change, I want them to look over the car make sure it’s safe and reliable. If something is wrong I want to fix it or at least know about it. Only they work on my car. They have the records and they know the car. All of the mechanics working there are excellent. Taylor, Norm, Don and Julian have all worked on my car and do solid work. Adam at the front counter is great, always finds a spot to fit me in when it’s a crunch. I give this garage a solid recommendation.”

“absolute best mechanic. reasonable, accommodating, helpful, approachable, and clean. I first attended as a solo young woman with bad advice from another mechanic who told me I needed all four brakes replaced. I attended here alone and was told that I did not need any brakes replaced (when they VERY easily could have taken advantage of me and charged me for it.) Since then, I have always felt safe and comfortable here. I am a student supporting myself, so the student discount is very appreciated. They always have completed quick, reasonably priced work for me. Most recently, they were sent the wrong windshield for my vehicle, and they allowed me to use the loaner car for two days and pick up at a time outside of hours to accommodate my work schedule. It's very reassuring to know that I will not encounter any predatory behaviour or discomfort when I come alone. Thank you so much to your team!! :)”

“I'm new to London and recently purchased a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo. I did my research on local garages that still knew how to work on 47 yr old classic cars. I was requiring upgrades to the ignition system and several other repairs. Bruce was fantastic in his appreciation for my car and had Norm perform all my repairs. Being a licensed Mechanic myself and now disabled and no longer able to perform my own repairs. I would not look any farther than Williams Auto. They are true professionals and now have my business for life. UPDATE. FEB 2020. I took my 1968 C10 truck there for an engine swap and transmission. Again Norm did amazing work . The entire shop has professional mechanics with amazing attitudes. I'll try to attach some pictures of the work done to rebuild my C10 and give it a new life. Amazing shop. Amazing personal.”

“My '77 Vette had been sitting in storage for over 10 yrs. Taylor and Norm did a great job getting it back back up and running. They completed everything under my budget and at a very reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised how quick and efficient the work was completed considering how much need to be done. Norm took the time to go over all the new parts he put in and any other quirks he noticed on the car. They honor their workmanship and part warranty and had no problem taking it back to swap out one of the parts. They are very knowledgeable with classic cars, I would highly recommend taking your classic car or daily driver to Mackensie's.”
