Fast help when your vehicle can’t wait

“I could share a few horror stories about a couple of auto shops I have dealt with in Prince George over the years, but Randy's is not one of them, as I have only had positive experiences there. Most recently, in the winter of 2023, my truck needed both the fuel lines and the brake lines replaced (the lines are 'intertwined', so when one goes, the other one needs to be replaced as well). They couldn't do the work immediately, because some, or even all, of the parts weren't available in Prince George; but when they did get to it, it was done that day, and for a little less than the quoted price. As a side note, I noticed that the gear shift was super stiff when I picked the truck up; I should have made it clearer to the mechanic I spoke with (it wasn't Randy) that it definitely didn't seem normal, but I also kind of chalked it up to "it's just spent the day in a heated shop and is now out in the cold, maybe it's just a temp-difference being-finicky thing". A few days later, though, the stiffness was still there, and while I'm not a mechanic, I knew enough to know that the gear shift cable may have been knocked out of place or otherwise compromised (unintentionally) when they did the fuel and brake lines. When I brought the truck back, it was Randy himself I dealt with, and no muss, no fuss, no "Oh, we didn't do that...we can check it out, but it's gonna cost you"; he hopped in the truck, checked the gear shift, drove it into his shop, and had me going again in ten minutes, at no charge.”

“Randy took my car in with next to no notice last week because of a mistake I made changing my oil, which left my car unable to drive safely. They were not even an hour to closing when he took my car in for the easy fix. I had already received no's from neighbouring shops and was basically stranded in a downtown parking lot. Luckily Randy is a very kind person running a wonderful shop and told me i could limp my car into the shop. He had my car in and out in less than 20 minutes. Can't thank him and his team enough.
