Quality work, honest pricing, and repairs done right the first time.

Auto Service & Repair

Auto Service & Repair

General auto service and repair starts with the concern, the vehicle’s condition, and its maintenance history. The work may range from routine upkeep to diagnosis and repair of related mechanical or electrical systems.

Learn more
Car Repair

Car Repair

Car repair addresses a specific mechanical, electrical, safety, or drivability concern after the cause has been assessed. The appropriate repair depends on evidence from inspection and testing, not the symptom alone.

Learn more
Brake Repair

Brake Repair

Brake repair begins with an inspection of the parts that create, transfer, and control braking force. The findings determine whether adjustment, maintenance, or component repair is appropriate.

Learn more
Oil Change

Oil Change

An oil change replaces used engine oil and the filter with products selected for the vehicle. The visit can also provide a limited opportunity to check fluid leaks, the drain area, and items included in the chosen service.

Learn more
AC & Heat Repair

AC & Heat Repair

Heating and air-conditioning repair starts by separating airflow, temperature-control, refrigerant, cooling-system, and electrical concerns. Testing determines which system is responsible before repair is recommended.

Learn more
Engine Diagnostics

Engine Diagnostics

Engine diagnostics combines the driver’s observations, scan data, operating tests, and targeted checks to identify the cause of a warning light or performance concern.

Learn more
Transmission Repair

Transmission Repair

Transmission repair addresses shifting, engagement, leakage, control, or internal mechanical concerns after the transmission and related systems have been tested. The repair can range from an external correction to internal work or replacement.

Learn more
Tire Services

Tire Services

Tire services cover inspection, pressure correction, rotation, balancing, puncture assessment, seasonal changeover, and tire replacement as appropriate. Tire condition, wheel condition, and vehicle requirements determine the work.

Learn more
Winter Tire Installation

Winter Tire Installation

Winter tire installation prepares a compatible set of seasonal tires and wheels for cold-weather use. Inspection, fitment, pressure, balance, and proper wheel fastening are part of a careful changeover.

Learn more
Wheel Alignment

Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment measures and adjusts applicable suspension angles so the wheels track according to vehicle specifications. Tire condition, ride height, steering position, and worn or damaged parts must be considered first.

Learn more
Battery Replacement

Battery Replacement

Battery replacement involves confirming battery condition and starting or charging-system behaviour before installing a compatible unit. Some vehicles also require battery registration, adaptation, or preserved electronic settings.

Learn more
Radiator Repair

Radiator Repair

Radiator and cooling-system repair addresses coolant loss, restricted heat transfer, pressure problems, airflow faults, or damaged components. The source of overheating or leakage should be confirmed before parts are replaced.

Learn more
Exhaust Repair

Exhaust Repair

Exhaust repair addresses leakage, noise, damaged supports, emissions-control faults, and restricted flow after the affected section is identified. The system includes more than the visible tailpipe.

Learn more
Suspension Repair

Suspension Repair

Auto Inspection

An auto inspection documents the condition of the systems included in the requested inspection. It may support maintenance planning, a purchase decision, a regulatory requirement, or diagnosis, but the exact checklist depends on the inspection type.

Learn more
Preventive Maintenance

Preventive Maintenance

Preventive maintenance uses vehicle guidance, service history, operating conditions, and current condition to plan upkeep before avoidable wear or fluid deterioration creates a larger concern.

Why Drivers of Waterloo Choose Gary's Automotive

  • Clear guidance on what’s needed

We check the concern and explain when a repair isn’t required—such as identifying when an alignment or additional work isn’t necessary after inspection.

  • Support for intermittent and hard-to-diagnose issues

When a problem doesn’t show up right away, we take time to test, drive, and re-check so the next step is based on what can be confirmed.

  • Cost-conscious options when parts are involved

If a repair requires replacement parts, we help find a workable option—such as sourcing a used component—to keep the repair at a reasonable price.

Signals are derived from aggregated public customer feedback trends.

The team at Gary’s Automotive is known for straightforward advice, fair pricing, and taking the time to check concerns without pushing unnecessary repairs—even when the issue is difficult to reproduce.

I was referred by a neighbor who's entire family rave about Gary's. I experienced incredible service! So has my wife. She had her car in for a noise in her front end and where other mechanics she had taken it to could not figure out. They had it in once, drove it, it wouldn't make the noise. They put it up and looked to see if it was visible, it didn't seem to be but they looked over for all the potential safety hazards.. They gave the car back and charged nothing. The noise persisted over the next month or so and she brought it back, they heard it and determined it was the after market brake pads shifting a little. They fixed it at no charge. I personally had my car stalling out on me regularly especially at low speeds. I had taken it another.mechanic who said they couldn't figure out why. They tried a repair at $400 as a shot in the dark. My car stalled driving out of the lot and all the way home. I took it to Gary's and after hearing my account if the issues and driving it. They offered a no charge solution to determine if it was indeed correct and offered to let me take the car home over the weekend and see if discounting a solenoid would identify the issue. I instead took a gamble on their expertise and had them do the repair they thought it was. My car runs perfectly again. They were helping, friendly, extremely generous in their shop time and rates. I didn't pay that invoice until I drive it for the weekend and reported back that it was running great again:) couldn't recommend more. I'm done w any other mechanics, they hv our business and we will recommend to anyone and everyone. It's hard to find this kind of service and trust in your customers these days
