Transmission And GearsStandalone practice
Why should you avoid resting your foot on the clutch pedal while driving?
Correct answer: It can partly disengage the clutch and cause wear
Why
Remove your foot from the clutch pedal after completing a gear change. Unnecessary pedal pressure is called riding the clutch and can cause extra wear. Use the clutch for starting, changing gears and just before stopping to prevent a stall.
