Under ICBC’s process through October 18, 2026, what can completing an approved GLP course during the learner stage earn?
Correct answer: A six-month reduction of the novice stage, with a clean record
Why
Complete the ICBC-approved course within one year while in the learner stage. For the pre-October-19 process, a six-month novice reduction requires no violations, prohibitions or at-fault crashes during the first 18 months of the novice stage. From October 19, ICBC’s published assessment criteria retain the 18-month approved-training route for drivers under 25. A few ordinary lessons are not the same as completing an approved GLP course.
