As a non-emergency driver, how far back must you stay when following fire apparatus?
A follows a fire truck responding to an alarm.
Correct answer: At least 150 metres
Why
A driver other than an emergency-vehicle driver must not follow fire apparatus closer than 150 metres. The Act also restricts driving or parking within 150 metres on the same highway of its stop in response to a fire alarm.
