Why should you increase distance behind a large vehicle?
A follows a large truck on a clear, dry road.
Correct answer: It gives a wider view and less spray, stones or rollback
Why
Keep well back behind a large vehicle so you can see more of the road and reduce exposure to spray or stones. Leave extra space when stopped uphill because the vehicle may roll back. ICBC recommends at least three seconds when a large vehicle blocks your view, with more when conditions require it.
