What should you do if your vehicle is stuck on railway tracks?
A is stalled on the tracks while a train approaches from the left.
Correct answer: Get everyone out and at least 30 m away, then call for help
Why
If the vehicle is stuck on tracks, get everyone out immediately and move at least 30 metres away from the track to reduce exposure to flying debris. From safety, call the emergency number posted at the crossing or 911 and give the crossing location. Do not return to the vehicle.
