Sharing the RoadStandalone practice
A bicyclist is ahead on a narrow road. Oncoming traffic prevents a safe lane change, and the available gap is too narrow for a safe pass. What should you do?
Blue car A follows cyclist B, who has moved into the lane away from a drain near the right edge. Silver car C approaches in the opposite lane.
Correct answer: Slow down and wait until you can pass safely.
Why
Do not force a pass. When traffic or road conditions prevent compliance with the ordinary passing requirements, reduce speed to a reasonable and prudent level. Pass only when doing so will not endanger the bicyclist, considering the vehicles, weather, visibility and road width.
