For an ordinary car without a medical or other exemption, what visible light transmission must tint on the windows immediately to the driver’s left and right have?
Correct answer: At least 50 percent.
Why
The current front-side window provision permits tint material with visible light transmission of 50 percent or greater. Windshield treatment has separate AS-1 restrictions, and medical, specified historic-vehicle and law-enforcement exemptions are separate. Do not apply the rear-window allowance to the windows beside the driver.
Verified against 21 Del. C. §4313: Safety glass and window tint · Current front-side window tint rule
