When must a driver dim high beams for other vehicles?
Correct answer: Within 500 feet of oncoming cars and 200 feet when following.
Why
Use a beam that avoids glare within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle. When following within 200 feet, do not use the upper beam except while overtaking and passing that vehicle. Use low beams in fog or heavy precipitation as well.
