Which vehicle is generally within the scope of a Florida non-commercial Class E driver license?
Correct answer: A non-commercial vehicle with a GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds.
Why
Class E covers ordinary noncommercial cars and other vehicles that do not require Class A, B or C authority, subject to endorsements and restrictions. An ordinary car below 26,001 pounds is within that scope. Heavy commercial combinations, passenger/hazardous-material operations requiring a CDL, and motorcycles requiring an endorsement have separate rules.
