Safe & Responsible DrivingStandalone practice
You strike a parked vehicle and cannot find its owner or driver. What must you do?
Correct answer: Leave your name and address in a note and notify police
Why
Stop without obstructing traffic more than necessary. Locate and notify the owner or driver, or securely attach a conspicuous written notice with your name, address and the registration number of the vehicle you were driving. Notify the nearest police officer without unnecessary delay. This unattended-property duty applies even when the separate $3,000 general reporting threshold is not reached.
