Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
A 17-year-old is practicing with an Idaho Class D instruction permit. Who must accompany the driver?
Correct answer: A licensed adult age 18 or older seated beside you
Why
For an ordinary Class D instruction permit, the accompanying driver must be at least 18, hold a valid license for the vehicle and sit beside the learner. A qualified adult following in another car or sitting in the rear does not meet this condition.
