At a two-way intersection, your approach has two lanes in your direction and no marked multiple-turn lanes. You are waiting to turn left while oncoming traffic passes. Which preparation is safest?
An unoccupied two-lane approach meets a two-way intersection. Silver B travels in the opposing direction; no lane or wheel position is selected for the learner.
Correct answer: Wait in the leftmost lane with the wheels pointed straight.
Why
Approach from the extreme left-hand lane lawfully available in your direction. While waiting for a safe gap, keep the wheels straight so a rear impact is less likely to push the car into oncoming traffic. Yield as required, then complete the turn safely into a lawful receiving lane while following any lane markings or signs. If marked turn lanes direct a different path, follow them.
