Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You want to leave your car parked on the approach side of a STOP sign beside the roadway. How far back from the sign must you stay?
Correct answer: At least 30 feet.
Why
Do not park within 30 feet on the approach to a flashing signal, STOP sign, YIELD sign, or traffic-control signal at the side of the roadway. This keeps sight lines and approaches clear. Other rules also prohibit parking in crosswalks and intersections.
