When following a large truck, where should a driver position the car?
Blue car A follows tractor-trailer B in the same lane. The truck is ahead of A; both travel to the right.
Correct answer: Back far enough to be seen in the truck's side mirror.
Why
Stay well back and out of the truck’s blind areas so the driver can see your car in a side mirror. If you cannot see the driver’s mirrors, the driver may not see you. Seeing a mirror still does not guarantee that the driver has noticed you. Avoid lingering beside the truck and leave room for its turns.
