Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
What must a driver do at a steady red traffic light?

Correct answer: Stop at the proper point and stay stopped until you may lawfully go.
Why
Stop fully at a marked stop line. If there is none, stop before the near crosswalk; if there is no crosswalk, stop before entering the intersection. Remain stopped until a lawful movement is permitted. A permitted turn on red requires the complete stop and yielding first, and is prohibited where posted.
