Passing target: 7 correct signs and 18 correct rules
A driver has a steady green signal but a pedestrian is lawfully in the crosswalk. What should the driver do?
Blue A faces a circular green signal and intends to turn right. A pedestrian faces WALK and is crossing the receiving road in A’s turning path.
Correct answer: Yield to the pedestrian before making the movement.
Why
A green signal permits entry only when the intersection and intended path are clear. Yield to pedestrians and vehicles lawfully within the intersection. A green turn arrow also does not authorize striking a lawful occupant of the turning path. Do not enter a queue that will leave the vehicle blocking the intersection.
