A 17-year-old has held an Indiana license for more than 180 days. No exception applies. May the driver begin an ordinary trip at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday?
Correct answer: No; the Sunday-to-Thursday 11 p.m. limit applies.
Why
After the first 180 days, a driver under 18 remains restricted after 11 p.m. Sunday–Thursday, before 5 a.m. Monday–Friday, and 1 a.m.–5 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lawful employment, school-sanctioned activity, religious events and the specified licensed front-seat supervision have exceptions. This Tuesday trip has none.
