Passing target: 20/25 correct (TLA practice target)
You are following a school bus on a two-lane road. It is stopped with red lights flashing and its stop arm extended. Where must you stop, and when may you proceed?
A school bus is stopped on a two-lane road with red warning lights flashing and its STOP arm extended. The blue learner follows it and a silver car is in the opposite lane. No distance or release condition is printed.
Correct answer: At least 15 feet behind; wait for the arm to retract and the bus to resume moving.
Why
Stop at least 15 feet behind the bus. Remain stopped until the stop arm has retracted AND the bus resumes moving. Continue cautiously and watch for children. A following driver must not pass a bus displaying red or amber warning lights; a child reaching the curb alone does not release the stop.
