Which tire condition should be checked before driving?
Correct answer: Proper inflation, adequate tread, and no visible damage or embedded objects.
Why
Inspect every tire for suitable pressure, adequate tread and visible damage or objects. Use a pressure gauge and the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended cold pressure; appearance alone is unreliable. Pressure rises as tires warm, so do not bleed a warm tire down to the cold recommendation. A tire also must meet Kansas’s condition and tread requirements.
