Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
A downward-pointing white triangle has a red border and the word YIELD. What does it require?

Correct answer: Slow down, yield the right-of-way, and stop if necessary.
Why
Slow to a speed suitable for the conditions. Yield to traffic in the intersection or close enough to be an immediate hazard, and to a pedestrian legally crossing the roadway you enter. Stop at the required position if necessary to yield safely. An empty crossing does not require a stop solely because the sign says YIELD.
