Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
How should you respond to a flashing red traffic signal?

Correct answer: Stop fully, then proceed only when the way is clear
Why
A flashing red signal requires a complete stop at the marked line, or before the near-side crosswalk if there is no line. If neither exists, stop before entering at the nearest point with a view of approaching traffic. Then follow the stop-sign right-of-way rules and proceed only when safe.
