During what nighttime period must a passenger car's required headlights and taillights be on while moving on a highway?
Blue A is on an ordinary road with no clock, timeline, night-boundary caption or instruction to switch lamps on.
Correct answer: From 30 minutes before sunset to 30 minutes after sunrise.
Why
Turn on the required headlights and taillights from half an hour before sunset until half an hour after sunrise. For an ordinary passenger car, they are also required whenever light is insufficient to see a person clearly at 150 metres. Do not rely on daytime running lights to illuminate every required lamp.
