Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
In MPI's reverse angle-parking method, what should you do before beginning the slow reverse into the stall?
A approaches an empty back-in angle stall behind silver B; silver C is on the other side. A's turn signals are unlit and no bumper alignment guide appears.
Correct answer: Signal, then align your back bumper with the driver-side rear bumper of the car ahead.
Why
Use stalls marked for back-in angle parking. Signal and check traffic, position using the parked vehicle's driver-side rear-bumper reference, and reverse slowly toward the centre. Use mirrors and shoulder checks to avoid either neighbouring vehicle; straighten when centred.
