How should the distance illuminated by your headlights affect your speed at night?
A drives at night with a visible headlight cone on the road. The question has no stopping-distance bar, speed choice or comparison label.
Correct answer: Drive slowly enough to stop within the distance you can see ahead.
Why
Do not overdrive your headlights. Choose a speed that lets you stop within the road you can actually see, and reduce speed when changing to low beams or when glare, weather or a curve reduces that distance.
