Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
What should a driver do at a flashing red traffic signal?

Correct answer: Stop completely, yield as needed, and proceed when the way is clear.
Why
A flashing red traffic signal requires a complete stop at the marked line, or the near crosswalk if there is no line, or before entering the intersection if neither exists. Then follow the yielding duties used at a stop sign and proceed only when clear. Railroad warning signals are a different situation.
