Safe & Responsible DrivingStandalone practice
You damage an unattended parked vehicle. After stopping safely and trying to find the owner, you cannot locate anyone in charge. What must you do?
Correct answer: Leave a note on it with your name, address, registration number and owner details.
Why
First stop close to the scene without unnecessarily obstructing traffic and attempt to locate the owner, driver or person in charge. If that fails, leave a written notice in a conspicuous secure place in or on the damaged property. Include your name and address, your vehicle’s registration number, and its owner’s name and address. Section 20-105 governs this unattended-property situation.
