Weather, Visibility & EmergenciesStandalone practice
It is 45 minutes after sunset. What lighting is required on an ordinary passenger vehicle being driven on a way, even if the sky still seems fairly bright?
Correct answer: Headlights and taillights must be on.
Why
Use headlights and taillights from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise. They are also required when insufficient light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions prevent people and vehicles from being clearly discernible 500 feet ahead, and when windshield wipers are needed. Daytime running lights may not turn on the required taillights.
