Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
An ordinary circular traffic signal is flashing yellow. What is the required approach?

Correct answer: Proceed through or past the signal only with caution.
Why
MCL 257.614 allows drivers facing a flashing yellow signal to proceed only with caution. Check for cross traffic, pedestrians and other hazards, and adjust speed as needed. Do not confuse it with the mandatory stop at a flashing red signal.
