Passing target: 8 correct signs and 24 correct rules (TLA practice targets)
An emergency vehicle approaches with warning lights and siren. What should you do?
On an ordinary two-way road, a white-and-blue box ambulance approaches behind blue car A with red warning lights flashing and its siren sounding. The roadway edge to A’s right is clear.
Correct answer: Pull to the right edge, clear of the intersection, and stop.
Why
Yield, move as close as possible and parallel to the right-hand edge, clear of the intersection, and stop. Remain stopped until the emergency vehicle passes unless a police officer directs otherwise. Do not stop inside an intersection or follow closely in the cleared path.
