How should you treat a motorcycle occupying a traffic lane?
Blue car A follows motorcyclist B in the right lane of a divided road with two lanes in this direction. The adjacent lane is clear.
Correct answer: As a vehicle entitled to the lane and a full safe following interval.
Why
Michigan gives a motorcycle full use of its lane. Do not drive a car beside it within that lane or crowd its path. Leave safe following space because the rider may change position for visibility, balance or surface hazards.
