Passing target: 8 correct signs and 24 correct rules (TLA practice targets)
No one is injured in a crash. Your vehicle can be operated normally under its own power without further damage or hazard, and moving it is safe. What should the licensed driver do?
Correct answer: Move it from the main traveled roadway to a safe nearby place.
Why
MCL 257.618a requires the driver, or another occupant with a valid license, to remove the vehicle from the main traveled roadway to a safe refuge under these conditions. The duty is qualified when the operator knows or reasonably should know that serious impairment of a bodily function or death resulted. Moving the vehicle does not remove the other crash duties, including required information, assistance and reporting.
