The rear of your vehicle begins sliding sideways on a slippery road. How should you steer while recovering control?
A blue sedan is yawed slightly toward the upper right on a wet two-way road, with its rear displaced toward the near side.
Correct answer: Toward the direction you want the vehicle to travel, without oversteering.
Why
Take your foot off the accelerator and turn the front wheels only enough toward the direction you want to travel. Avoid oversteering. Be ready for a secondary skid in the opposite direction, correct smoothly, and straighten the wheels as control returns.
