Your car hits another car at an intersection. The other driver says that her neck hurts. Both cars can still be driven. What must you do?
Correct answer: Stop, call 911, give reasonable help, and stay to give your name, address, date of birth and plate number.
Why
At a crash scene, protect people first: stop at or near the scene, turn off the ignition to lower the fire risk, and warn other traffic with hazard lights, flares or a flashlight. Give first aid only if you are able and trained; if not, keep injured people comfortable until help arrives. A driver who leaves an injury crash without giving the required information breaks the law. If a crash causes only property damage, move to a safe place and exchange license and insurance information with the other driver.
