Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
For an ordinary turn, what advance signaling distance does the Mississippi handbook use as its minimum guidance?
A approaches an intended right turn in its proper lane. An inset enlarges A's right turn signal; no advance distance is labeled.
Correct answer: 100 feet.
Why
The handbook’s ordinary-turn examples call for signaling at least 100 feet before the turn. Signal earlier when speed, traffic or visibility requires more warning. The statutory duty is continuous signaling for a reasonable distance, so 100 feet is not a substitute for adequate warning.
