Passing target: 24/30 correct (TLA practice target)
You are driving car A. The truck ahead in the lane to your left signals a right turn. What should you do?
Car A is behind a long truck in the adjacent lane to A's left; the card states that the truck signals right. Lane dividers and direction arrows show two lanes each way on every arm.
Correct answer: Stay behind and never squeeze between the truck and the curb.
Why
Large vehicles may swing left to gain room for a right turn, so do not pass on the right when a truck may be turning. The space beside the truck is part of the area its long body may need during the turn. Stay behind until the turn is complete; a cab moving left does not mean the right side is safe to pass.
