Your vehicle has a front passenger air bag. Where should you install a rear-facing infant seat?
Correct answer: In the back seat, never in front of the air bag
Why
Air bags inflate very fast and are designed for adults sitting upright, so a child, and especially an infant in a rear-facing seat, can be badly hurt by that force. Drivers should also sit with at least 10 inches between the breastbone and the center of the steering wheel. Wear your seat belt even if the car has air bags, because air bags do not protect you in side or rear impacts or rollovers.
