Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
At an intersection, a white sign shows a black left-turn arrow inside a red circle with a red slash. You need to go left. What should you do?

Correct answer: Go straight or right, then use another legal route
Why
Signs like this forbid a turn where it would be unsafe, for example across heavy traffic or where the view is poor. The same red circle and slash appear on other signs, such as NO U TURN, and always mean do not do what the symbol shows. Plan your route early, so that you do not need a sudden lane change or stop when you see the sign.
