Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You are about to back out of a driveway onto a street. Which way of looking is best while you back up?
Correct answer: Check all around, then turn and look through the rear window as you back slowly.
Why
Before you get in, walk around the car or look carefully for children, pets and objects that are too low to see from the seat. While you back, turn your body so that you can look through the rear window, and glance to both sides as you reach the street. At the sidewalk and the street, yield to pedestrians and to traffic before you enter the roadway.
