Jordan moves from Oregon to Las Vegas and becomes a Nevada resident. Jordan's Oregon license is valid for three more years. By when must Jordan get a Nevada driver's license to keep driving?
Correct answer: Within 30 days after becoming a Nevada resident
Why
Residency, not the date on your old license, starts the 30-day period. Nonresidents, such as tourists and out-of-state students, and active-duty military members with a valid home-state license may drive in Nevada without a Nevada license. New residents must also register their vehicles within 30 days. If you hold a valid license from another state, the DMV may waive some tests, but it will still check your vision.
