After dinner, you take home a bottle of wine that was opened and then corked again. Where may the bottle ride while you drive home?
Correct answer: In the trunk, outside the area where the driver and passengers sit.
Why
It is unlawful to drink alcohol while you drive, and the open container rule keeps opened alcohol away from the driver and passengers. The rule does not apply to the passenger area of a vehicle that carries people for pay, such as a limousine, taxi or commercial bus, or to the living quarters of a motor home or house trailer. It still applies to the driver of those vehicles.
