What should a driver do immediately after a tire blows out?
Correct answer: Hold the wheel firmly, ease off the gas and slow down gradually.
Why
After a tire blowout, ease off the accelerator, keep a firm two-handed grip and slow down gradually while maintaining control. Do not brake sharply at the start. This is blowout guidance, not a substitute for the correct emergency-braking technique for your vehicle.
