Priya is 16 and plans to apply for her first New Hampshire license. What must her approved driver education course include at a minimum?
Correct answer: 30 hours in class, 10 hours behind the wheel, and 6 hours of observation
Why
New Hampshire requires license applicants who are 16 or 17 to complete an approved driver education course first. No more than 15 of the 30 classroom hours may be taken online, and the classroom part includes short lessons on motorcycle safety and on sharing the road with tractor-trailers. The course gives the base of skills and knowledge, and the separate supervised driving hours with a parent or other adult build experience on top of it.
