Before a long drive, you notice that one tire looks lower than the others, but the dashboard tire-pressure light is off. What should you do?
Correct answer: Check the pressure with a gauge and fill the tire to the correct level first
Why
The manual recommends a quick safety check before you drive and a tire-pressure check once a month. Underinflated tires, overinflated tires and tires with low tread can all cause problems on the road. Since July 10, 2026, New Hampshire law (RSA 266:48-a) also bans driving on any tire with less than 2/32 of an inch of tread.
