Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You are driving in the right lane of a road with two lanes going your way, and you see this sign. What should you do?

Correct answer: Signal, check your blind spot, and merge left into a safe gap
Why
New York law lets you move out of your lane only after you make sure that the move is safe, and you must signal a lane change. Merge early and at the speed of traffic, so that other drivers can see what you plan to do. If you are in the lane that continues, keep a steady speed and leave room for the merging driver.
