You approach a stopped emergency or designated roadside vehicle in your direction of travel. Its warning lights or other safety warnings are in use. With another lane going your way, what should you do?
A approaches a police vehicle B stopped beside a two-lane roadway with warning lights flashing.
Correct answer: Slow down and move over one full lane when safe
Why
At a posted limit of 60 km/h or more, travel at least 30 km/h slower than the limit. Where the limit is below 60 km/h, travel no faster than 30 km/h and never exceed the posted limit. Move one lane away when safe. Pass only when safe and stop if necessary.
