Inside city limits, you and another driver collide at low speed. The damage looks like about $1,500, but the other driver's passenger has a small cut on the arm. What must you do?
Correct answer: Stay, exchange names, addresses, and insurance, help the injured, and notify the city police now.
Why
After a crash that causes injury, death, or damage of $4,000 or more, report it at once: to the local police in a city, or to the county sheriff or the Highway Patrol outside city limits. In any crash with injury or damage, exchange your name, address, insurance company, and policy number, and give reasonable help to anyone who is hurt. If you hit an unattended vehicle, find the owner or leave a note with your name, address, and insurance company where the owner will see it.
